Body Language and Gestures
Body language is a language in which physical behavior, as opposed to words, is used to express feelings. Such behavior includes facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch and the use of space.

We all communicate with our body language, conscious or not, feelings, thoughts, positions to our opposite conversation partner. Our body language is influenced by our personal character, by cultural influence, by our upbringing.

For the host in rural tourism it is important, to get aware of body language patterns, in order to estimate and control his own expressions, also to better estimate the customer, but mostly in order to use body language as a tool to specifically and positively influence the interaction with his customer.

Especially the host should be able to use body language for welcoming gestures, for communicating interest, friendliness and hospitality.
