Tool for tracking your marketing: Google Analytics
Google Analytics is the free software that tracks visitor movements on your website and is the window into what marketing is or isn’t working in your business.

It provides a wealth of data and insight on how people are finding your website (e.g. Google, social media) and also if they are converting (or not) into paying customers.

Do an audit of your website and record the following:
  • How engaged are people on your website?
  • What are the top 10 locations and devices your website customers are viewing your website from?
  • What are the main sources of visitors to your website in the last 12 months? (Acquisition > Source Overview > Social/SEO/Campaigns (emails)/Direct/Referral).
  • What has been the top content and top landing pages and on your website? (Behavior > Site Content > All Pages & Landing Pages)
  • What % of visitors are making a booking or converting on your website (Conversions > Goals or ECommerce)?

Use the Google Analytics data to help you focus on:
  • What is/isn’t working to attract people to your website
  • What you can do to improve the conversion of your website visitors into enquiries, booking or signing up to your eNewsletter.

Tip: If you don’t have Google Analytics installed on your website, then ask your web developer to organise this for you ASAP or follow these instructions at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008015?hl=en
